Snow Day!

We got about 20 inches of snow yesterday, 16 or so on Saturday, which all together just adds up to a LOT of snow! The boys had a blast, Jim got work off yesterday and something like a half day today and we got lucky by not losing electricity (even though we lost Internet and TV)and enjoyed the beautiful views from inside our house. The snow was heavy and bent the trees down in our back yard until they were touching the ground - I don't think we had many break though, unlike our neighbors.

Ethan with Daddy during the storm ....

Jayden catching snowflakes on his tongue.

The boys and their snowman. The snowman was built on the driveway after daddy shoveled so by the time we went out it was only 4 - 6 inches. It was pretty funny looking - Frosty behind the car with his hands out. I didn't get a pic before Jim relocated the snowman. He said he thought about driving over him as quickly as possible but didn't want to disappoint the boys;). Instead frosty now resides on top of one of the curbs of snow in our front yard.

Fun In The Snow!

The boys had a blast playing in the snow in our first significant snowfall this year. Ethan finally got to build his snowman, but because we didn't get to build it the day it snowed and it got cold, it became difficult to pack and the snowman was quite funny looking:). Ethan didn't mind. Jayden made it out for a bit too, but fell over right onto his face and cried because of how cold his face got ... poor baby:). Anyway, enjoy;)

A Little Fun

The boys enjoyed hanging out with us and each other today and Ethan was thrilled with the tiny amount of snow we got last night and begged Jim to help him build a snowman. Jim said it was the tiniest one he has ever built:).

Fun In The Snow!

Ethan was too young to truly enjoy the snow last year (see first picture in Minnesota), but this year after moving from the Mountains of Much Snowia (aka. Minnesota), we have had no snow and he couldn't play in it. Last night, we got a whopping 3 inches. While I know all my Minnesotan friends are laughing about this, in Philly, it is a BIG deal. I went to the gym at 5:30 this morning and not only was it nearly empty (there are usually more than 200 people there at that time), it took me forever to get there because no one had begun plowing the roads. We're not talking the small side roads, but the major almost highway ones.

Anyway, Ethan and Mommy went outside to play this morning while Jayden slept. Ethan was frustrated at first because he couldn't keep the snow off his boots, but then started to really enjoy it.
